One Can Trust
About us
One Can Trust Food Bank gives out emergency food parcels to people in the south of Buckinghamshire who find themselves in a time of crisis. Households in need are referred to us by a range of partner organisations in the local area, for example social workers, advice centres and schools. We meet that need by arranging for food to be donated by local people at collection points across the south of the county. Our volunteers then collect, sort, store and pack the food into parcels. The principle is to provide sufficient food to sustain the client household for one week. We provide support initially for up to four weeks and put people in touch with other agencies to help resolve issues underlying their crises. Before coronavirus, we were typically supporting about 225 people each week. Given the economic impact of coronavirus on our local communities, we are now routinely supporting over 600 people each week. We urgently need to raise additional funds so that we can continue to provide this vital service to the most vulnerable members of our community.
