Sadly, one in two people will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime. Living with cancer and receiving treatment for this terrible illness can be extremely tough – treatment can cause all sorts of horrible side effects from extreme tiredness and nausea, to forgetfulness and trouble concentrating. This is why we have made it our mission to make a difference to the way that cancer treatment is delivered. Our Mobile Cancer Care Units help patients to fit their treatment in to their lives, not the other way round. Thanks to our supporters, we give the gift of time to patients so they can spend it wisely, with those that they love. We bring our fleet of Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCUs) into the heart of communities, and by working closely with NHS Trusts throughout the country, we work together to help as many people as possible. Last year, we delivered over 22,300 treatments to patients who needed our help.
