About us
RAR/ASNI were set up in 2003, following a hiking trip that founder Nancy Janes took to Romania. Having witnessed the problem of homeless dogs first hand, Nancy decided to set up a charity to help find a solution. Since then, many more vets and volunteers joined Nancy to make up RAR as we know it today: a dedicated bunch of animal lovers, passionate about improving animal welfare and ending animal suffering. We are members of Global Giving, Combined Federal Campaign, Animal Charities of America and Americas Best Charities.
