DonkeyandHorseRescue.org is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operated by Donkey and Equine Haven USA. We are volunteer operated and dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abused, neglected, and abandoned equine animals, including donkeys, mules, and horses.  We depend completely on volunteer efforts and contributions to feed and care for up to sometimes 75+ donkeys and horses.  These beautiful animals come to us neglected, sick, injured, or suffering the effects of years of poor nutrition and healthcare. Some have old injuries that were never treated; many have outlived their owners and have become a liability for family members who do not want them or cannot shelter or care for them; some have been surrendered due to an owner’s inability to continue care, whether for financial or health reasons.  We take them into our facility, feed and shelter them, provide all needed veterinary treatment (including basic care, such as castration and vaccinations), and nurse them to health so they can be re-homed with qualified owners.  This past year, we have taken more sick animals than anticipated and face mounting healthcare expenses.  We humbly ask for your financial contribution to help with these extraordinary costs.
