Wild Horse Education (WHE) is a nonprofit organization that works diligently to protect and preserve our wild horses and burros. The only organization to take federal agencies to court over inappropriate actions during capture, the fight against abuse on and off-range is key to our mission. Protecting wild horses begins by protecting the land they need to survive, moves through capture and ends battling policies that land them in the slaughter pipeline. Our boots-on-the-ground approach has led to gathering documentation that broken ground in court, news investigations and provided oversight agencies like the Government Accounting Office vital information on wild horses and domestic livestock managed by BLM.
