Our organization's mission is to reduce the population of homeless pets in the Concho Valley and end the euthanasia of adoptable pets by offering low-cost spay and neuter programs, successful adoption programs, community education and training. We are a non-profit animal advocacy organization that has contractually partnered with our municipal animal shelter to transition our community's shelter from a high-kill to low-kill by providing life-saving programs such as low-cost spay and neuter, veterinary assistance programs, responsible pet rehoming assistance programs, intake diversion programs, education and community support such as food pantries and low-cost training opportunities.
We have successfully helped transform our community from a high-kill animal impound that killed more than 80% of the animals that entered it into the municipal shelter into a life-saving community where 84% of shelter pets are saved through our partnership programs. That mean that 84% of the animals that enter the facility are released via local adoptions, transport partner placement for adoption and owner returns. In addition to adoption, we provide a variety of programs to help people keep their pets with support programs for pet families in crisis.
