We are dedicated to saving Sun Bears in Sumatra, we're the only organisation soley working to help the beautiful Sun Bears. We currently have 6 rescued bears in our centre. Sun Bears in our care have come from sad situations where they have been confiscated or snared. We are needing to build more space to give them a long and meaningful life where they can behave like a free bear! They can play, climb, forage and be safe. Sun Bears that come to us needing Veterinary care, will be given expert care or surgery, and if possible, they will be returned to the wild if they have the important survival skills to return and be play an important role in the ecosystem in the rainforest. Sun Bears taken out of the forest as small cubs miss out on their mum's knowledge...Often means that mum was killed. Snared Sun Bears will be rescued and brought to us for expert care. Our amazing partners are working with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and have a strong working relationship. Together we will need build a large naturalistic habitat to be able to accept awaiting bears. We hope that you can help us help them.
