We’re on a mission to solve hunger in our region. Feeding Northeast Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving twelve counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Levy, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, and Union. We use food as a catalyst to improve lives and communities, and we believe that everyone deserves the food and resources needed to live a healthy, productive life.As a food bank, we rescue millions of pounds of food meant for the landfill and redistribute it to our neighbors who experience food insecurity. When donations are in short supply, we purchase food from local producers to meet the need. By forging strong partnerships with local growers and retailers, we are able to take funds and stretch them further to feed the nearly 260,000 people in our service area that miss meals and do not have adequate access to nutritious food. In May 2023, we welcomed Bread of the Mighty in Gainesville as an official branch of FNEFL, expanding our services to Alachua, Gilchrist, Levy, and Union Counties. Food is one of the most basic needs a family can have, and having enough food must be satisfied before almost anything else becomes important.
