Our organization helps to retire thoroughbreds after their racing career but our main focus for the past several years has been rescuing thoroughbreds from going to slaughter. We rescue thoroughbreds from kill pens in many states across the country and network with several other reputable non profit horse rescues that can take many of the horse that we rescue. It is very expensive when rescuing horses in this situation as they must be purchased, transported, quarantined and many need vet and farrier care and all need regular maintenance such as de-wormings, vaccinations, teeth floated, etc. By supporting our organization you are saving the lives of horses who would otherwise face a brutal death in Mexico or Canada and giving them the loving care and kindness that they deserve.
