Pegasus Equine Guardian Association
Pegasus Equine Guardian Association™ (PEGA) formed to unify efforts to preserve and protect the wild and free roaming herds of horses in Louisiana’s Kisatchie National Forest and Fort Polk. These unique herds of wild horses have been a part of Louisiana’s local culture since its early beginnings, and are considered Louisiana’s Heritage Horses. We rescue Louisiana’s wild horses that have been forcibly removed by the government and provide them with the care they need. We have recently doubled our herd due to the surrender of 40 wild horses that were in a terrible situation. We need your help now more than ever!
