We are a 50l(c)3, not-for-profit organization and have been in existence for over 33 years.  Our mission is to place retired racing greyhounds in loving, permanent homes.  We are the oldest of only a few adoption groups who routinely take dogs that have broken their legs on the racetrack.  Unlike many other adoption organizations, we take in all greyhounds, regardless of health or age, and give them the veterinary and socialization care they need before placing them in permanent, adoptive homes.  Our organization has a no-kill policy, and we spay/neuter every dog that we receive.  We receive no government or track funding, relying on donations from the public, grants from organizations like yours, and other fund raising events. Midwest Greyhound is 100% volunteer-run; we have NO paid employees. We hope people will support us in placing these magnificent athletes in loving adoptive homes once they retire from the racetrack.
