Our mission here at Fandango Sanctuary is to give unwanted and special needs farm animals a permanent loving home and to be a foster and adoption center for rescued donkeys from Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue. We take in retired chickens from Charlotte County Mosquito control and at the moment we have around 50 chickens, 2 cows, 5 horses, 1 mule, 4 donkeys, 1 wild boar, 2 dogs, 4 cats. We also give space to a local bee keeper so he can bring his rescue bees. And we work with Loveland center a daycare for people with special needs who come once a week to the farm to volunteer and interact with the animals. Programs for veterans and elderly are planned. We got hit very hard by Hurricane Ian,  Milton and Helene with over $ 300,000 in damages and so far no help from insurance. We are in desperate need of help to rebuild shelters and fences. And we need lots of farm animal food and appreciate any help!
