Odessa Animal Sanctuary (OAS) is a 501c3 non-profit organization, that takes in all types of animals (farm, domestic, and wildlife) which have been abandoned or injured and are unable to survive on their own. With over 450 animals, from alpacas to hedge hogs to zebras and a multitude in between, we nurture these animals back to health and caring for those unable to make it on their own and provide them a "furever" home. (If able, wildlife is released). OAS receives no government or municipal support and rely entirely on the generosity of donations to meet the $35,000 a month necessary budget to feed and house these animals in need. OAS is feeling the threat of inflation and subsequent reduction in donations to make ends meet to feed and house the 450+ animals. OAS is at-risk of no longer being able to feed, build habitats, pay veterinary bills, and help these wonderful, loving animals without an increase in funding. Over 5 acres of land provide a sanctuary to these animals; OAS offers tours and educational opportunities to schools, organizations and companies with an interest in assisting OAS. OAS provides tax deductions to individuals and companies willing to donate.
