Equine Safe Haven has a mission to rescue, rehabilitate and repurpose Equines that would have shipped to slaughter.  They do this by purchasing from a Texas kill pen.  The Equines are then put into a program at the Ranch where they are rehabilitated and then used to teach people of all ages, (and includes economically & physically disadvantaged) horsemanship, life skills, leadership through interactions with their Equine partners.  The program also teaches carriage driving to those that cannot ride a horse but are able to drive a carriage with a horse that trains them the skill sets.
