'Need a Feed?' and 'Need a Coffee?' provide a listening ear, $1 coffee and support our friends in the community who may feel isolated, alone or segregated from the rest of society. The Need a Coffee van, located in Globe Lane, Wollongong provides an all-inclusive, non-judgemental environment where we distribute food, personal care items and clothing to those who are 'doing it tough'. Our friends feel a part of something bigger than themselves, feel connected and included in society which in turn gives them a purpose in life, something to look forward to. We hold different events throughout the year which have included a Christmas party, planting and painting a mural. We have been able to connect our friends with other services that can help in many ways e.g. legal advice, health advice and affordable $1 coffee. We hold regular community dinners during school term, for people from all walks of life. Our dinners offer connection and support while sharing a meal with those who may be alone or in need of a friend. Need a Feed is primarily a volunteer run organisation operating on proceeds from fundraising activities. For our necessary community service to continue we need YOUR HELP!
