Children are affected socially, psychologically, physically and emotionally by Family and Domestic Violence. Reunification in a safe place is vital or the protection of these children while being reunited with their parent after family breakdown. Family breakdown can cause children and youth to be separated from one of their parents for a period of time. Through supervised visits and changeovers, we reunite children with their parents so they can strengthen their relationship and move forward, positively and safely. North Brisbane Children’s Contact Service - aims to minimise a child’s exposure to conflictual or unsafe situations by way of providing a safe and secure environment for supervised visitation and changeovers to occur between vulnerable children, their parents/carers and significant others in their lives.
