Hotham Mission delivers local, small-scale programs at the community level with an emphasis on poverty prevention and education. Our combination of programs enables those with whom we work to engage actively in their own life journeys, and provides them with community assistance to help challenge and disrupt the poverty cycle. All participants in our programs are encouraged to engage positively with education and learning while we work with them, their families and communities to target barriers to their wellbeing. These barriers include poverty, food insecurity, racism, family violence, and gender inequality. We work closely with those most in need in our community to provide essential support so they can pursue their education and develop into contributing members of our society, as such our focus is on young people.
