LAILO (Loving Animals Is Loving Ourselves) Farm Sanctuary is a federally registered volunteer run farm animal rescue. We are located in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our mission is to provide sanctuary to farm animals in need and also to encourage others to extend their circle of compassion to include all species of animals. 

A Home for Animals

We offer sanctuary to as many rescued or surrendered farm animals as possible, but due to the sanctuary’s limited capacity, we also have a rescue and rehoming program where we find suitable, loving homes for some animals within the community.

A Place for Education

We offer visits to the sanctuary to regular sponsors and donors, as well as to small school and community groups. Our vision is to become a centre where people come to connect with farm animals and learn to see them as individuals rather than commodities. 

A Community for Compassion

LAILO Farm Sanctuary serves as a place for those wanting to connect with animals and other like-minded compassionate people through volunteering or special events. 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Caring for farm animals is very expensive. Our sanctuary depends on the kindness of people like you to help cover the day to day expenses of feed, bedding and vet care. We also have many big projects underway such as fencing and shelter building. We can only help as many animals as we can afford to, so please consider making a donation and/or voting today.
