We are a large horse rescue in Bennett NC. We have been rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming equines for 7 years (3 years as a nonprofit). We take on some of the most extreme neglect cases and give them a second chance at life. We run a mentoring program using our rescue horses as a tool to reach the hearts of children and youth in our community who are in the foster care system. We teach them about horses, how to ride, how to care for them and it is a therapeutic experience for them and their mentors as they begin to open up and learn to care for an animal that has experienced neglect or abuse much like they have. We have rescued over 800 horses over the last 7 years.
