Since our formation in 2017 we have rescued hundreds of cats. We are an all-volunteer organization, currently with three programs. Our feral cat program includes a feral cat retirement village that is home to almost 100 cats, and feeding and caring for several colonies within the city of Middletown. We use TNR (trap, neuter, return) to safely trap the feral cats, have them neutered and vaccinated so they can live a healthier life without perpetuating the overpopulation. Our foster program is home to approximately 25 cats and kittens on any given day. These adoptable cats and kittens are cared for by volunteer fosters in their homes, giving them an opportunity to be properly socialized until the perfect home is found. Our small shelter is home to 12 adult cats (young adult to senior), often with medical conditions or emotional challenges that come from being abandoned or mistreated. They are cared for daily by our small but devoted group of volunteers until they are healthy enough both physically and emotionally, to be adopted or placed into a permanent foster home. They can stay as long as they need to and we are a no-kill shelter.
