Hello there! We (The Journalism Centre on Global Trafficking) are a media organization that specializes in connecting and building networks for journalists to report on issues related to trafficking. Trafficking has risen to become the world's most serious criminal problem, and we believe that the media can help to put an end to it! A lot has been attributed to journalists' underreporting and misinformation about trafficking issues, resulting in a lack of credible reporting. This is the first centre worldwide dedicated to assisting the media in understanding the full spectrum behind the usual headline-grabbing stories centered on trafficking. We believe in the power of an informed citizenry! What better way to accomplish this than to provide our audience with high-quality news coverage?

To ensure this, we've developed a unique approach to journalist training and capacity building, particularly in areas where trafficking is prevalent, by providing them with editorial assistance and access to top experts and peers in the field to help them deepen their reporting. Through this approach the media will learn to report more fully on human, labor, wildlife, drugs, and arms trafficking, and the financial ties supporting these networks.

We are currently training journalists from Sierra Leone and India, and we would like to continue supporting other journalists around the world.
