For over 72 years, JFS has served the economically disadvantaged residents of North Texas by offering them access to life-affirming mental health, nutritional, financial and emergency assistance programs that promote empowerment, stability and security as they work towards a greater sense of self-sufficiency.

The agency has six core programs that help people get back on the road to self-sufficiency through specialized, professional services in the areas of 1) mental health for children and adults, including counseling, special needs assessment and intervention, family therapy, psychiatric services and addiction management; 2) family violence intervention; 3) services for older adults; 4) career, employment and financial coaching; 5) food pantry; and 6) emergency assistance.
