Improved Farm Animal Welfare FACT’s Humane Farming Program supports humane farming methods and humane farmers, and has improved the lives of more than 47,000,000 animals through our educational programming, peer support and direct farmer funding. Ensuring Safe & Healthy Foods FACT played a leading role in convincing the FDA to prohibit the use of dangerous arsenic-containing feed additives in chickens and pigs and to require egg farms to eliminate the food-borne pathogen Salmonella. FACT has worked with the FDA and with most major restaurant changes to lower the amount of antibiotics given to farm animals.
