Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is committed to advocating for a wild horse management plan and protection for these unique wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home! We are fighting for state and federal legislation for this herd. Wild horses managed by the National Park Service are NOT protected under The Wild Horse & Burro Act.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park attempted to remove these horses from the park in 2022. CHWHA successfully ended their plans in April of 2024. The park was back again in October of 2024 with an underhanded attempt to permanently sterilize this herd. We need to speak up for these wild horses and stop the park's relentless plans to remove them! State and Federal legislation is the ONLY way to do that!
