More than 6 million companion animals are surrendered to shelters each year in the US alone, with more than half becoming euthanized due to an ongoing crisis of overcrowded shelters. Our goal at Famous Fido Rescue is to stop the cycle of abandonment at the source and do our utmost to keep animals in their homes wherever possible. Often we learn that medical expenses or training issues are at the root of the problem, as many families can not afford these on their own. For any family that wants to keep their animal, we aim to provide these resources and financial aid. Funds are critically needed to support this initiative to keep animals out of shelters and instead keep them safe with their loving families!
