Today, Cambodians are facing a critical turning point. Repression is deepening. International support is shrinking. Funding cuts have forced key programs—like our in-country advocacy training—to be postponed. But this moment is not the end. It’s a call to rise.

Now more than ever, we, the Khmer community, must take action. Our people cannot wait for foreign governments or funding to decide when Cambodia deserves justice. We must fill in that gap—bringing together advocates, legal experts, and community leaders to drive real, strategic change with or without external support.

Many Cambodians struggle with the need for unity and self-empowerment. Save Cambodia guides our people to strengthen relationships within both national and international communities, helping them develop the tools and strategies to start making their country feel like home again.

We are also challenging the meaning of the word “save.” This is not about waiting for outside heroes. Our organization works to reshape the idea of dependency by encouraging Cambodians not to rely on one individual or group to be their savior—but to rely on themselves and one another to create powerful, lasting transformation.
