You know that moment, the one when you look deep into your child’s eyes (or more likely their cute sleeping face!), and you imagine all the wonderful experiences you can’t wait to share with them. And you dream of all the brilliant moments they are going to achieve. Sometimes, there’s also a tinge of fear that immediately follows – where you just hope that nothing stops you from offering them the world.

Childhood dementia is the realisation of that fear.

2300 Australian are currently suffering and dying from childhood dementia - and no one knows about it. It is unacceptable. Together we will change the way research, health and social care systems recognise and support children with dementia, so that they can live fulfilling and longer lives.
