SAMSN provides support to adult male survivors of child sexual abuse and their families. People sometimes forget that abused children grow up and that survivors of sexual abuse often struggle and may need help and your understanding. The five year Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse clearly showed that there is a dearth of specialist services for men. SAMSN is one of only a couple of services in Australia dedicated to helping male victims of child sexual abuse and their supporters. We believe male survivors of childhood sexual abuse can recover, support others to thrive and be leaders for change. Any man who has suffered from the effects of child sexual assault should know it was not his fault and that healing and recovery is possible.
