About us
The Australian Foundation for disability (Afford) is a not for profit organization that is dedicated to helping people with a disability. Our person centered approach, in partnership with families and carers, enables over 2000 people with disabilities to lead richer, more rewarding lives. Afford provides Transition to Work Skills Programs for Youth Aged 17 – 23, Community Participation Day Programs, Skills Development, supported and open employment and accommodation for our many clients with disabilities and high support needs, as well as providing support and respite for carers. Since 1952, The Australian Foundation for Disability (Afford) has provided employment, skills development and accommodation for people with disability. From supporting school students, skill development, ground breaking OH&S policies, to first class facilities, policies and programs, The Australian Foundation for Disability achieves quality outcomes in its support for people with disabilities. Afford believes that every person deserves the chance to live their life to their fullest potential. The Australian Foundation for Disability encourages goals and supports their achievement in practical ways.
