AVCAT helps the children and grandchildren of Australian veterans with tertiary education. AVCAT provides scholarships to help our young people achieve their dream of going to uni or TAFE, and an Alumni Network to help them connect to a community after graduation. Awarding scholarships provides a much-needed financial safety net, so that scholars can focus more of their time and attention on their academic progress. Scholarships fund educational expenses including textbooks, fees, technology and course materials, as well as living expenses. Since AVCAT was founded in 2003, over 2600 scholarships have been awarded. Every year many worthy applicants miss out on a scholarship.
