Wildlife care is outsourced by all the state and territory governments and mostly done with great care by volunteers.  They receive little to no mental health support by the governments or organisations despite the often distressing sights and situations they find themselves in. 

Wildlife care is more than an hobby, it is a calling that requires many selfless acts on a daily basis.  At what cost to the self?
