Arid Recovery
About us
Arid Recovery is an independent not-for-profit running a 123 km2 wildlife reserve in South Australia’s arid north. We pioneer conservation science to help threatened species thrive across the Australian outback, and do this in partnership with Traditional Owners. We aim to return threatened native species to Australia's arid zone by providing a fully fenced safe haven from predators, and conducting long-term experiments to successfully return native mammals beyond the fenced zone. The reserve has been a living laboratory for more than 23 years. We are recognised as conservation innovators, and we share our knowledge for the benefit of all.Arid Recovery has foundational support from our partners to maintain the reserve and core programs. You can help to expand our work protecting threatened species and developing new conservation tools by making a donation.
