Founded in 1993 as Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc. by Karen and Joel Sanchez, The Shane Center was established to create a special place specifically for children with disabilities to experience the amazing benefits of being in the country, on a farm, around horses, and to participate in equestrian activities. We are Central Ohio’s original therapeutic riding program, and we have an unsurpassed reputation for providing safe, quality, family-oriented services. Since its inception, no client has ever been denied services due to their financial circumstances. Today, we are known for our exceptional therapeutic riding program, our attention to detail and safety standards, as well as our professionalism and financial accountability. The Shane Center’s vision is to provide sustainable, exceptional equine programs that remain responsive to community needs, which are collaborative with community partners, and progressive in standards and effectiveness. For the past THIRTY YEARS, The Shane Center has been improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through innovative equestrian activities! As the first program of its kind in the central Ohio area, we are often imitated but never duplicated!
