The Last Chance Ranch Sanctuary is a home for special needs, abandoned, injured and needy animals. Those animals that truly have nowhere else to go, that are down to their last chance.  It is also my home in northern Arizona. I have been taking animals in most of my life, and always wanted to do more. Our goal is to become self-sustaining and be able to provide food, supplies, and vet care for all of Our Gang.  We hope to add more shelters and habitats, hire animal care staff, and begin to expand what we can offer our residents. To provide permanent housing, food, care, and rehabilitation for special needs, abandoned, injured and needy dogs, cats, and horses who are un-adoptable and have nowhere else to go.Our founder, Annie, has had a deep love for animals her entire life; all animals, especially those that were injured or ill and had nowhere else to go, on death’s door, discarded and unwanted. We are not an animal shelter that temporarily houses animals until they are reclaimed or euthanized, nor do we work like other groups that rescue, foster, and place animals. We realize there are groups and humane societies that do an excellent job! We accept only those animals where all other options have been exhausted. Once an animal is accepted into our program, he or she is a resident for life. What do they get? Love, care, and hope.Annie purchased the land that became today’s Sanctuary in 1996 and was soon taking in animals. The cat with no eyes; the horse that only weighed 360 pounds at nearly 3 years of age; the dog who was so severely beaten that his leg had to be amputated. Caring for these animals is Annie’s passion. The best way to be able to provide adequately for these animals is to provide food, medical care, habitats, and be an ongoing, and eventually, self-sustainable operation, able to accept tax-deductible donations. Annie pulled together a small group of dedicated volunteers and began the process of qualifying for a non-profit charity status, which was successfully completed in April, 2009.We are truly the last chance for these animals… and so the Last Chance Ranch Sanctuary was established. In order for us to continue providing the proper care for these wonderful animals, we need your help. It is YOU that will help us make a difference!
