The Tale of the Shepherd's Lantern - The white tip of a Border Collies’s tail is affectionately referred to as the “Shepherd’s Lantern”. After a long day's work, shepherds used the white tip of their collie's tail to guide them safely home in the dying light.  Today Shepherd's Lantern Rescue is helping orphaned Border Collies find their way home permanently. 

Our mission is to help border collies in need through sheltering, fostering, adoption, education and medical care; and in the process engage and educate the community to end the killing of abandoned or orphaned dogs.
