About us
Parent Aid North West – Free In-Home Support for Families When They Need It Most
Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding journeys, but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and incredibly tough, especially in those early years. At Parent Aid North West, we walk alongside parents through the highs and lows by offering free, practical in-home support to families with babies and young children (under 5 years old) across North West Auckland.
Our incredible support workers visit families in their own homes to provide hands-on help, tailored to their unique needs. That might mean preparing meals, folding washing, caring for a newborn while mum rests, or simply being a calm, supportive presence when things feel too hard.
We work with all kinds of families and situations, including:
New parents navigating those early postnatal weeks
Families with multiple births
Parents recovering from injury
Households experiencing stress, sleep deprivation, anxiety, or rural isolation
Anyone feeling overwhelmed and needing a hand
We believe that every parent deserves support, especially in those moments when it feels like too much. Because when parents are well supported, children thrive, and communities grow stronger.
Since 2002, we've been serving the heart of our region – from Kumeu, Riverhead and Muriwai, to Helensville, Kaukapakapa, South Head and beyond. We’re a small, local charity making a big difference, one family at a time.
With your support, we can continue to provide this vital, free service to the families who need it most. Thank you for helping us build a more supported, connected, and thriving community.
