The Lucky A Ranch is run by a dedicated family whose mission is to provide a safe landing for donkeys and mules in need. We take in animals that have been left behind due to no fault of their own. We have neglected, abused, unwanted and just ones that people could no longer care for. Our mission is to make life better for the ones that cross our gate. Some are too far gone mentally or too old or have medical issues and those spend their life with us. Others find forever homes.

Many sad cases come through our gateninto our care. Sometimes it takes months, even years to gain their trust again. Our reward is seeing the change in their eyes and the trust that comes as theu feel human kindness, some for the first time.  That makes it worthwhile for us. We work hard to make it all possible and could not do it without the help of other animal lovers, fundraisers and generous donations. We are home to approximately 60 long ears and a handful of horses.We always appreciate volunteers and financial aid to help us keep doing what we do.  We also gentle wild burros and find forever homes for them.
