The Laurel Palliative Care Foundation raises much-needed funds to assist Southern Adelaide Palliative Services and Laurel Hospice meet the needs of 1200 people annually with life-limiting illnesses and their families by providing funds for support services, such as complementary care, art and pet therapy programs as well as bereavement services and medical research. Our goal is to provide an added level of comfort and support to palliative patients and their families throughout end-of-life care. The Laurel Palliative Care Foundation enables people receiving end-of-life care in Southern Adelaide to access care and services above and beyond those traditionally funded by government. The Foundation provides funds for essential services to patients at end-of-life, who use the services of Southern Adelaide Palliative Service (SAPS), either in Laurel Hospice itself or within the community. In addition, the Foundation provides funds to support the families of these patients through a range of services including the complementary care and art therapy programs.
