PEACEful Humans Inc. began almost four years ago and has a demonstrated capacity to work across divides and sectors and to bring people together to reduce social isolation. We are totally unfunded and run by a network of volunteers. We work with the most at-risk, marginalised and "too hard basket" within our community. We take a client-centred, bottom up approach to cultural integration and our focus is on creating a circle of community and belonging. PEACE runs a variety of programs, events and social gatherings that bridge barriers between migrants and the wider community, fundraising groups with elderly and disabled women donating hand-made goods to those unable to afford them, a women’s group specifically for isolated women, women from DV and women with cancer, and projects where multicultural cooks create a meal with locals who then serve to the homeless. We are currently running a Trauma Therapy Group for women and are desperate for any monetary donations to assist us with keeping this program viable for the 62 women and 60 children we assist. We have so far successfully avoided suicide attempts and total disconnection between mothers and their children. Help us help the unhelped! PEACE. Just Imagine!
