The organization work with people to promote and improve the mental health wellbeing of Australians with particular emphasis on marginalised people, disadvantaged people, indigenous people, newly migrants. The organisation will be focusing on African people and those classified as CALD (Cultural and Language Diverse) in South Australia 1: Advancing health. The organisation is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance health by working with people from disadvantaged backgrounds and this will include newly migrants, refugees to enable effective treatment for people experiencing short and long term mental health issues. The organisation is established to be a charity whose purpose is to advance health by undertaking any of the following activities: •establishing a web based chat intervention accessed through internet. The chat intervention will be available at all hours and will be staffed by mental health practitioners. The chat line is to offer advice, support, short term interventions and referral to other services if needed. •The chat line will act as a crisis line with the aim to work with disadvantaged people who might not otherwise access services due to stigma issues and will aim to reduce suicide rates in this group of people. Reducing suicide rate is in line with the Government plans. •Providing health education and health promotion to target group regarding mental health, stigma, and benefits of early intervention, compliance with medication, drug and substance use, life style factors, healthy diets. During the sessions Nokutenda staff to administer basic health checks like blood pressure monitoring and refer to services for ongoing management and treatment where needed.
