Childhood cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease for kids in the U.S., and the incidence of childhood cancer continues to rise. Childhood cancer is the #1 disease related killer in the U.S., 20% of children are terminal on diagnosis and 60% of children suffer lifelong impacts of treatments due to the lack of pediatric treatments, protocols and cures. This is directly related to the lack of funding for pediatric cancer research. Journey4ACure is a small pediatric cancer organization, all volunteer with no paid employees, support goes directly to research, the kids and awareness programs. J4AC has a mission to support pediatric cancer research. while cancer treatment for adults are a multi-billion dollar market that attracts big investment, childhood cancer doesn’t receive this kind of attention or funding and relies on philanthropy to fund research. J4AC also aims to enhance the lives of kids battling cancer through our iPad program. Kids battling cancer spend long days and nights in hospitals, often in isolation, getting treatments, away from school, friends and family. The iPad program facilitates communication, entertains kids, helps them stay on track at school and best of all brings joy and smiles to these brave kids. Finally we have a goal to create awareness about the lack of funding for childhood cancer research. We believe that awareness=funding=research=cures! We know that our children are a priority in our lives, they should also be a priority for treatments and cures that will give them hope and the cures they deserve. We fight to make childhood cancer research a national priority!
