About us
Huddersfield Feral and Strays believe that every cat deserves a happy ever after. Our aim is to provide the best care, protection and veterinary treatment by providing a safe environment for cats in need of attention through sickness, maltreatment or abandonment. In addition to this, we educate the community regarding cat welfare and responsible ownership.
We help both domestic and feral cats within the Huddersfield and surrounding area. We run a trap, neuter and release initiative and provide placements for the feral cats in a safe environment. This has a positive direct impact on the welfare of the animals and the local communities in which they reside.
We have a rehoming scheme which allows the rescue domesticated cats to find their forever homes, always ensuring thorough home checks are performed for all adoptions / feral placements. We work alongside local authorities, emergency services, vets and the public to provide a range of services.
Huddersfield Feral and Strays also run Lost and Found groups on social media which aid and assist with recovery and reunification of lost / deceased cats in the local area. The rescue is run purely by volunteers who want to make a difference.
