Animal Defenders International Foundation
Animal Defenders International Foundation works to prevent animal cruelty and protect wildlife and the environment. We rescue and care for neglected wild animals, specialising in working with governments on large-scale operations to empty industries of suffering animals. We provide evidence and reports for public and legislators on the scientific, legal and economic issues on use of animals in circuses.
Lions, tigers, primates, bears, and other animals have all been saved from circuses in Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, and Guatemala following nationwide bans on their use. Nursed back to better health while in our care, animals are then relocated to forever homes, back to their natural habitat wherever possible and in some cases returned to the wild. The ADI Wildlife Sanctuary in South Africa provides a peaceful, secure refuge and place of loving kindness for nearly 40 ex-circus rescued lions and tigers.
We also support and fund advanced non-animal methods of scientific and medical research which replace the use of animals in experiments.
With your support, we can help more animals in need around the world. Thank you.
