Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho is a nonprofit organization in Kootenai County that partners with low-income individuals and families to help them build and repair their homes so they can have a safe and affordable place to call home. Our Mission is, "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope." We help families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho has used volunteer labor and other community support to build over 49 homes and repair about 20 homes each year. The housing program is an opportunity for qualified individuals and families to purchase affordable new construction housing once they complete "sweat equity" hours and homeownership trainings. The home repair program, called A Brush With Kindness, is offered to low-income homeowners, many who are aging in place, to provide interior and exterior repairs that solve safety, health, or home preservation issues to support the safety of residents and the long-term maintenance of their homes.  Your vote or donation will help Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho build affordable housing and complete affordable home repairs, helping us serve more low-income individuals and families in our community.
