Unite Oregon is a statewide racial and social justice nonprofit working to eliminate systemic inequities and fight for a more just and equitable society for immigrants, refugees, people of color, rural communities, and low-income Oregonians. Today, we are the only intercultural, movement building nonprofit organization in Oregon with four chapters in both northern and southern (rural) Oregon, working successfully to build power and organize communities across the urban-rural divide.

For decades, Unite Oregon has successfully mobilized and empowered community members from across many different backgrounds, immigration statuses and socio-cultural experiences to seek common ground and effectively organize for improvements in their circumstances. We have engaged thousands of individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, trained new immigrant and refugee community leaders, produced hundreds of educational events, and mobilized countless newcomer community members to participate in public life and advocate for policies that increase equity.

Unite Oregon focuses on four program areas that, when combined, catalyze systemic change: Civic Engagement; Policy Advocacy; Community Organizing; and Leadership Development. Unite Oregon has six work issue priority areas that originated from our community and leadership development spaces with the intention of centering the most vulnerable in our immigrant, refugee, BIPOC communities: Climate Justice, Housing Justice, Economic Justice, Reimagining Community Safety, Health Equity, and Education Equity.
