As we celebrate our 15th year as an organization, our mission as These Numbers Have Faces continues to be “educating and equipping Africa’s brightest young leaders, empowering them to cultivate thriving communities.”  Educate. We recruit very bright young people from poor, rural, refugee, and post-conflict communities to become TNHF scholars. We provide access to a university education in Rwanda, covering the cost of university tuition, room & board, books, and other fees, to help them achieve their dream of a university education. Equip. We also equip our students with the professional skills necessary to be successful servant leaders by providing monthly Leadership Development Workshops for all our students. Empower. Finally, we require all of our students to contribute at least 50 hours each academic year to a Community Impact Project. They are asked to identify a real need within their communities, then develop and facilitate a project to address that need. This is where our students take what they are learning in their classrooms, as well as what they are learning about leadership in our Leadership Development Workshops, and apply it to a real life need in their communities.
