TM is an effective strategy to prevent or mitigate chronic stress. It also significantly reduces high levels of anxiety. There are over 425 original peer-reviewed studies on the TM technique published in leading scientific journals. This extensive research highlights the important benefits that TM provides to mental and physical health and wellbeing. Research validates that the Transcendental Meditation technique is one of the most effective tools to reduce the effects of trauma (PTSD) and other stress-related illnesses including anxiety, depression, high blood pressure and insulin resistance.
The TM technique is easily learned AND practiced comfortably anywhere. TM is not a religion, belief system or lifestyle. It is a simple, mental technique practiced sitting comfortably with the eyes closed for about 20 minutes, twice daily. . By fostering a profound state of rest and relaxation, Transcendental Meditation enables the body and mind to release accumulated stress, fatigue and tension.
