Children's Aid is one of New York City's largest child poverty fighting organizations, offering 100+ programs in academics, health, and family services to 50,000 children and their family members every year. Our comprehensive services range from neighborhood health clinics and after-school nutrition activities, all the way to foster care and adoption programs. We also have academic services such as early childhood interventions and college preparatory workshops, and we advocate for government policies that help our kids escape the cycle of poverty. This year in particular, we are playing a pivotal role in COVID-19 relief services by providing COVID-19 testing at our health clinics, food relief packages to hungry children and families, remote learning opportunities, and much more. New York City already had a high child poverty rate before the pandemic, and the COVID-19 crisis has had a particularly devastating impact on New York City's children living in poverty. Our children urgently need your help in recovering from the hardship, rebuilding their lives, and once again embarking on a path to future success and independence.
