Help us keep information and resources free for all by supporting Skylight's Resource Centre. Skylight delivers trauma informed counselling, and responds to many requests for support information, resources and publications. Through government contracts Skylight delivers a resilience building programme in schools, a parenting through separation programme and bereavement support for those who have lost a loved one through suicide. The resource centre does not receive any government funding. Its existence relies on donations and Philanthropic grants. It has recently seen a significant increase in requests for resource packs. Requests rose from 324 in 2017, to 426 in 2018 to 535 by June 2019. This shows a 65% increase in demand over the past two years. The Resource Coordinator’s role is a pivotal part of the resource centre, as this staff member needs to have extensive knowledge and understanding of broad perspectives of trauma and grief and how to address these complex issues. They must also be able to research and develop new resources, as well as revise and re-write existing ones. The role also hosts people who drop-in to the 'free for borrowers' specialist library and responds to questions or enquiries.
