Central Wisconsin Community Action Council, Inc. has been a trusted lifeline for individuals and families across Central Wisconsin since 1966. Serving a five-county region, we support families, seniors, children, and individuals facing economic hardship—both in rural communities and beyond—by providing compassionate, comprehensive services that meet people where they are and help them move forward with dignity.

Our mission is to develop opportunities for people and communities to realize their potential. We do this by addressing both immediate needs and long-term stability through programs focused on homelessness prevention, housing stability, food security, energy assistance, and economic security. From ensuring families have food on the table and heat in their homes, to helping individuals regain stability after crisis, our work empowers people to become self-sufficient and independent.

As the contracted Emergency Feeding Organization for five counties, CWCAC coordinates and supports a network of 12 local food pantries, ensuring reliable access to nutritious food for thousands of neighbors in need. Our approach is rooted in responsiveness, accountability, and collaboration—adapting to the evolving needs of our communities while strengthening the programs that make lasting impact possible.
